Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
For a casual east coast rider or someone who sticks to groomed runs this may be the best binding made. There are a few caveats with that. One they are heavy, but if you are not riding pipe or park that shouldn't matter much. The second is you need to be flexible and strong if you want a really tight fit.I am over six feet and in decent enough shape and even I have to put some grunt into snapping the backs up.However if you can overlook those two things they are a responsive and convenient choice.I don't know how they would hold up to heavy freestyle use and I can see not being able to use the cinch feature at all in deep snow or strapping back in on a steep section, but as was said for casual riding they are the best I have used in 20 some years riding.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
If Guy is "old" (at 43), I am positively "elderly" (at 56). These bindings were a gift from my son and I think they're great. Since my contemporaries all still ski, I need to get going quickly at the top of the mountain so they don't yell at me. These do the trick with the easy entry and snap shut, even under difficult conditions. If the slope is too great for step-in, I can easily strap in the conventional way. You can't go wrong!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
I only took this binding out on 2 days of light riding and already the cable casing on one boot is ripped exposing the wire and the other one is notched and on the way. It catches on the plastic groove it's supposed to grip on in the back. You have to remove your foot, reset it and try again when it jumps the track. A simple loop would have fixed this problem. I'm hoping the tear doesn't cause a problem later on. Instructions on install are lacking for a beginner. Fits great. Feels supportive and the canted footbed is great for keeping my big feet from catching on turns. This binding is so close to being perfect.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
I'm an older snowboarder and for someone my age, 43, this is one of the best bindings I have tried out. No more sitting on my butt to strap in. Just slide the boot in and pull the strap up, it's that simple. I like having a seperate toe strap and ankle strap, I feel this provides a better, more snug fit. As far as weight, they don't feel heavy. The only thing I can say negative about these is that they feel "flimsy", there is a little give, and the frames feel that they could break easily when strapping in. Once strapped in, I feel very secure and have never had trouble with anything breaking, it's just the feel of something breaking. I would actually recommend a more rigid frame, maybe even a light-weight aluminum alloy. The foot beds and high backs are very comfortable. All-in-all though, I love these bindings. Suggestion, get the CTX, the CTS are great but for a little extra money, I should have bought the CTX.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
These are by far and large the most versatile bindings on the market. The straps you adjust once. After that, it's all about the lever in the back. The nice thing about them is: you can bind in as soon as the lift is about to take you to the top (advisable on not crowded days). Once on top, there is no stoping you. As you get off the chair, you are going down the mountain without waisting any time at all. It's almost as fast if the slopes are busy. Once at the top, you slip your boot it, lock in with the lever, and off you go in seconds without having to sit around to strap in like everyone else on the mountain. Some have mentioned the weight. It's marginal folks!! We are not talking tons or pound, but grams. Besides, if the bindings are so heavy, like some wrongly think, you can offset that with lighter boots and board. Perhaps you can also loose some weight yourself. Hands down the best bindings I ever had. Thank you K2. You make riding easy and fun

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
Used it for 10 days on a Ride Antic. Stiff and very comfortable. Cinch system only good with packed snow - forget about it if there is any powder.
Ankle strap tore on day #2. Rachets are not nearly as nice as Burtons. Quite heavy.

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
I love using these bindings! set up the straps once and just use the lock in lever and its always tight and solid. I would say that for the shorter east coast mountains these bindings save TONS OF TIME. They always stay solid even with the roll in jump from off the roof of my house. They never gave out on me. I can get alot more runs in without wasting time straping in with conventional bindings. i got mine in 2006. I do notice they are a little on the heavy side, not sure if the new models are lighter. The padding is starting to peel off the back, but with all the heavy use i put it through its understandable. Im gonna try the k2 auto's next time. K2 has some great products. Worth the money!

Comments about K2 Snowboarding Cinch CTS:
Have used these bindings for over a year now. At first, i thought they were kind of gimmicky, but after a few runs out here in the mid-west (I'm from Chicago), I love these. SO easy to get in and out of. Just unbuckle a few clicks from the ankle strap and bring the highback down. Takes me literally 5 seconds to get strap in and go.
Downside, is the bulkiness and weight from these bad boys. Very noticeable difference from any other binding in its class. If they could fix this issue, then I would marry these.
Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a good all-mountain binding and need a quick in&out system, without the pain that are Flows, look no further. How does it compare to flows? It doesn't, in a good way. Unless you have the top-tier, highest class Flows then don't even bother looking at them. You'll hate it.

Merchant response: I actually found these to work better in powder because when you slide your boot in from the back it pushes the snow out the front.
If the Cinch is not the right binding for you then you can get one out our great traditional two strap buckle bindings.
